Our Community Standards
ReLivR works because members trust each other. These guidelines exist to protect that trust and ensure the platform remains a safe, fair place for everyone in the community.
Respect
Every person on ReLivR is a member of your local community. Treat them accordingly.
- Communicate professionally, even when disagreements arise
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory language
- Respect boundaries — if someone withdraws from a transaction, accept it
- Do not share other users' personal information outside the platform
Honesty
- Represent your skills and experience accurately
- Describe tasks accurately — do not misrepresent scope or requirements
- Do not create fake reviews or manipulate trust scores
- Do not impersonate other users or create multiple accounts
Acceptable Tasks
Not permitted:
- Anything illegal under South African law
- Academic dishonesty — writing essays for submission as original work
- Adult or sexual content of any kind
- Services designed to harm or harass an individual
Tutoring, explaining concepts, proofreading with attribution, and study assistance are acceptable.
Payment Integrity
Payments are currently arranged directly between members — ReLivR does not process or hold money yet.
- Agree the price and payment method in the task messages before work starts, so there is a record
- Pay what you agreed, when you agreed, once the work is done to that standard
- Do not pressure anyone into paying in full up front, and be cautious if you are asked to
- Do not raise dishonest disputes to avoid paying
Enforcement
Depending on severity: Warning → Trust score penalty → Temporary suspension → Permanent ban → Referral to university or law enforcement.
